This sign includes several techniques- cut-out PVC letters, carved clothing, 1x3 border with 1/4 round moulding.

The "slab of wood" sign is actually a digital print adhered to a 1" thick PVC panel edge-routed to match print with acrylic raised lettering.

Here we have a combination of flat painted letters and HDU-carved letters (Daisy's) as well as a "daisy" with PVC petals
